Open Enrollment For 2022 Benefits Is Now Open, Oct 11 - Oct 29

Open Enrollment is an opportunity for all benefits-eligible employees to enroll in or make changes to their benefits for the upcoming year. Open Enrollment is passive this year, which means if you do not make any changes, you will remain in the same coverage for 2022, except for FSA/HSA elections. Get Better TUgether - TUMG Partnership

We are excited to announce our new partnership with TUMG physicians beginning in 2021! Employees who are enrolled in our medical plans and utilize TUMG physicians will have reduction in their copays for office visits. For both primary care and specialist providers with TUMG, the copay will be reduced by $20 in both the HRA and POS plans. For those in the HDHP, the coinsurance will be reduced to 10% after they have met their deductible for the year. You can view these costs in the Comparison of Plans chart.

TUMG offers Tulane employees a concierge service which would help employees get same day/next day appointments with TUMG physicians. Employees can call 504-988-TUMD(8863). The service line is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, CST.

Tulane Specialty Pharmacy

The Tulane Pharmacy dispenses highly specialized medications, including medications that are hard to find, very expensive, treat complex medical conditions, or have a special storage requirement. The pharmacy offers complimentary delivery of your prescriptions to your home or office, provides counseling on how to take your medications correctly and helps with prior authorizations, insurance paperwork and financial assistance programs. Meet Some Of Your TUMG Providers!

Terry Cummings, MD - Internal Medicine and Pediatrics

Dr. Terry Cummings is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics at the Tulane University School of Medicine. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Pennsylvania where she studied Biochemistry. Dr. Cummings matriculated to Tulane University Health Sciences Center where she received her Medical Doctorate. She remained at Tulane as a resident and Chief Resident in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. In 1993, following her residency program, Dr. Cummings became Program Director of the Internal Medicine/Pediatrics residency program until 2003 when she became the Senior advisor.

Dr. Cummings is active clinically seeing patients of all ages in the Uptown Family Health Center. She is active in the pediatric and medicine teaching programs for the medical students and residents, teaching them on the wards and in her clinic. Her clinical residents are in the areas of eating disorders, sickle cell anemia, and breastfeeding.



Uzodinma Emerenini, MD - Cardiology

Dr. Uzodinma Emerenini received his Bachelor of Science degree, with distinction, from St. John's University and then was granted his medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at State University of New York Health Sciences Center and then attended the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, where he completed a post-doctoral research fellowship, Dr. Emerenini went on to complete two years of additional training in electrophysiology at the University of Iowa and University of Texas Medical Center.

Dr. Emerenini's areas of interest include arrhythmia diagnosis and management, including device implantation, remote monitoring and interventional electrophysiology, such ablation.



Carlos Galvani, MD - Surgery

Carlos Galvani, MD, FACS, FASMBS is a Professor and Chief of the Division of Minimally Invasive Surgery, at Tulane University of Medicine in the Department of Surgery. Dr. Galvani is originally from Argentina, where he earned his medical degree and completed his residency training. Dr. Galvani is fluent in both Spanish and English. He received special training in gastrointestinal surgery and gastrointestinal motility at the University of California San Francisco. He completed his training with fellowships in advanced laparoscopic/robotic surgery and bariatric surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

He has special interest in weigh loss surgery, gastroesophageal reflux disease, hiatal hernia, surgical treatment of gastroparesis, achalasia of the esophagus, solid organ surgery, esophageal cancer, abdominal wall hernias nad the use of robots in gastrointestinal surgery. Dr. Galvani is passionate about surgical education and simulation-based training of surgical residents and medical students.



Cecilia Gambala, MD - OB/GYN

Dr. Cecilia Gambla received her Bachelor of Science in Cell and Molecular Biology and Bachelor of Arts from H. Sophie Newcomb College of Tulane University. She also earned a Masters of Science in Public Health and Medical Degree from Tulane. She subsequently completed her Obstetrics & Gynecology Residency and Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellowship in Chicago at the University of Illinois. In 2011, she returned to Tulane University Medical School to begin her academic career. She currently acts as Director of Medical Student Education in OB/GYN and is the Assistant Dean for Clinical Education.

Dr. Gambala's research interests outside of medical education include prenatal diagnosis, obesity, diabetes and hypertensive disorders in pregnancy.




Michele Longo, MD - Neurology

Dr. Michele Longo is a clinical neurologist at the Tulane Center for Clinical Neuroscience at Tulane School of Medicine. A native New Orleanian, Dr. Longo earned her Undergraduate Degree, Medical Degree, and Medical Degree at Tulane University. Her internship and residency were both completed at Tulane. She is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

She has interests in all areas of adult general neurology including dementia and cognitive disorders, headaches, movement disorder, stroke and vascular diseases, peripheral nerve diseases, neuromuscular disorders, neck and back pain, seizures and sleep disorders.





A. Jeanine Dabon, APRN, FNP-C - Tulane Living Well Clinic Downtown

Ms. Dabon received a Master of Science degree in Nursing from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. Prior to joining Tulane University, Ms. Dabon worked as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in Primary Care with a particular focus on Health and Wellnnss.

Additionally, she completed several clinical rotations in the following areas: Women's Health, Pediatrics, Health Assessments, Endocrinology and Acute/Chronic Care Management. She is a member and is also board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Ms. Dabon also holds memberships with the Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Thetu Tau Honor Society.





Jolie Montreuil, MSN, APRN, NP-C - Tulane Living Well Clinic Uptown

Jolie Montreuil has served the Greater New Orleans area as a Family Nurse Practitioner since 2017. She is a New Orleans native, who received her Master of Science in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner focus at the University of Louisiana of Lafayette (2016) and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University og Holy Cross (2005). As a Registered Nurse, she worked in critical care, pediatrics, emergency medicine and medical evacuation/critical care transport. She began her Nurse Practitioner career at a busy Breast Reconstruction center in the Uptown area of New Orleans. She has expanded into Primary Care and Family medicine, caring for both adolescents and adults. It was there that she developed a passion for wellness and health education. Ms. Montreuil serves as the New Orleans regional representative for the Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners. She is excited to join the Tulane University Faculty and Tulane Living Well Clinic, where she will focus on the health and wellness of the Tulane community.
