Hiring Students for the Spring?

All student jobs are now posted in Handshake. Join us for a training to learn how to create your account and post your open positions. Anyone involved in student hiring is welcome.

Handshake Hiring Manager Training Sessions:

  • December 10 & January 7 at 1:00 pm
  • December 15 & January 12 at 10:00 am

Important Reminders   

  • Students work assignments should not be ended between semesters, unless the student will not return to work in the Spring semester.
  • Student COVID-19 testing protocols will be suspended over Winter Break. Students may work remotely up to 40 hours a week when classes are not in session.
  • Students who are approved to take Online classes ONLY are not eligible to work on campus.  They may apply for ‘On Campus Remote’ jobs that allow them to work remotely.
  • Please post all job openings in Handshake and contact the Student Employment office if you need additional applicants for your open position(s). We are happy to help!
  • Hiring Manager training is NOW available online through TULearn. If you have never hired students or need a quick refresher, you can enroll in and take the course by searching ‘Student Hiring’ in the learning library. This training is open to anyone who hires students.
  • Student employees working On-site in the Spring semester must follow all COVID protocols put in place for Staff employees.
