Very new to New Orleans and Tulane, Denise Cordova was recently appointed to the position of Director of Compensation and Records. She has more than 25+ years of strategic and operational Human Resources experience, with at least 16+ years of that in senior leadership roles responsible for Compensation. During her career, she has successfully led and managed a compensation study, along with developing executive compensation policies, retention programs and performance-based pay incentives to support career development for St. John’s University. She is described by former colleagues as a dedicated, well rounded, and progressive thinking HR partner.
Denise has a love for knowledge that makes her feel right at home within Tulane. She received a double-major bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Political Science from Clark University, Worcester MA. She holds a MS in Human Resources Administration from Central Michigan University and an MA in Transpersonal Psychology from the Institute for Transpersonal Psychology. She is currently enrolled in a PhD program at Sofia University. Denise’s heuristic research interest is to understand, at an employee level, what is the experience of being authentic within the workplace.
