Christina Wallace joined Tulane in 2009 and has more than 17 years broad human resources experience. She is currently serving as Director of Employee Engagement for the Office of Human Resources. In her role, she is responsible for the strategic direction, planning, development and implementation of employee awards and recognition programs, internal communications, and communications to support the implementation of university wide human resources projects. Christina’s work on the implementation of the transition to a new retirement investment line up in 2015 helped earn Tulane a Marcom award, sponsored by the Association of Marketing & Communication Professionals and a Signature award sponsored by the Plan Sponsor Council of America. Christina also has experience in employee relations, which she gained in her previous role as Assistant Director of Employee Relations.
Prior to joining the Tulane team, Christina worked for Northrop Grumman, a leading global aerospace and defense contractor, in the areas of recruitment and cost analysis. As a subject matter expert in recruiting, she gained significant experience in the implementation of applicant tracking systems, working with the corporate office and other business units to standardize hiring processes across all its sectors.
Christina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management and a Master of Business Administration from Nicholls State University. She is a Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) Senior Certified Professional and is a member of both the national and local chapters. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, boating, and spending time with family and friends.
