Vacations are essential for a well-balanced, healthy life and are as important as eating well and getting exercise. Vacations relieve stress, help prevent heart disease, help maintain focus, help prevent illness, and make you more productive at work.
Sick leave provides paid time off for eligible staff to treat and/or recover from personal illness or tend to the illness of an immediate family member. Examples of permissible use of sick leave are appointments with physicians, dentists, or optometrists. When taking sick leave, eligible staff should record the actual hours absent from work in Kronos. If the appointment does not last a full day, staff are required to return to work following the appointment.
