TU Wellness Vision & Mission

Our mission is to create and maintain a culture of holistic health and wellness for all Tulane employees and the Tulane community which includes our faculty and staff and academic community. Through health education and the wellness activities offered by TU Wellness, our colleagues will be enabled to maintain healthy lifestyles which will result in improved employee engagement, increased productivity, and smarter utilization of available employee benefits.

Current Events

Fitts Bit Challenge

Join President Fitts & TU Wellness as we take strides toward better fitness. Grab a friend or get a group together - and start waling and moving to feel great. To join the challenge, email a photo of your beginning step total on Friday, March 1 to Participants must be able to track their steps via smartphone or other fitness tracking device and must submit a weekly total to qualify for raffle drawings.

Event details:

  • March 1: Challenge kicks off
  • Submit beginning count on March 1
  • Weekly total submitted every Monday
  • March 31: Challenge ends
  • Final total will be submitted by Monday, April 1
  • Raffle prizes: Fitbit and Apple products

Fitts Bit Challenge

Zumba and Yoga Classes

Zumba and Yoga classes are offered weekly on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at various locations.  Please see below for more information.

  • Zumba classes are offered every Monday and Thursday.  Please see below for locations and times.
    • Tidewater Building, Diboll Gallery from 5:30pm - 6:30pm
  • Yoga classes are offered every Tuesday.  Please see below for locations and times.
    • Rogers Chapel Auditorium from 12pm - 1pm
    • Primate Center, Administration Building Auditorium from 4:10pm - 5:10pm
    • Tidewater Building, Diboll Gallery from 5:10pm - 6:10pm
