Campus Map
The uptown and downtown campus map contains accessibility features. Please click the ADA accessibility option to see options for accessible parking, restrooms, entrances and exits to buildings, and elevators.
Accessibility of Events
It is our expectation that all meetings and events sponsored by Tulane University are accessible to individuals with disabilities. Taking care to create an accessible event benefits not only individuals with visible or known disabilities, but also helps to ensure that all participants and attendees, including individuals with non-obvious disabilities and/or chronic health conditions, and people of all ages and body types, are able to fully engage in the program. Please ensure all event communications include information about accessible parking, entrances and exits, and bathrooms in the building or space where you will host the event. Please also ensure that all event communication provides information for how attendees can request an accommodation to attend.
For details on how to plan an accessible event, please review the Event Accessibility Checklist on the Office for Campus Accessibility website.
Accessible Parking
Tulane University provides accessible parking. Please review the following information for placards and permits required for the uptown and downtown campuses.
State-Issued License Plate or Placard
Faculty, staff, students, vendors, and visitors with a valid Tulane parking permit and a state-issued ADA license plate or placard may park in an ADA parking space or a legal space close to their campus building. Permits are not valid in reserved spaces or hourly spaces.
Medical Need Permit
Medical Need permits may be issued to students, faculty, or staff members who suffer a short-term disability which limits or impairs their ability to walk. The Medical Need permit allows the driver to park close to campus buildings (rather than just areas their parking permit is valid) when they do not have a state-issued ADA license plate or placard. Please contact Case Management & Victim Support Services (students) or the Office of Campus Accessibility (Faculty & Staff) to request a Medical Need permit. These permits do not allow parking in ADA, reserved, or hourly parking spaces. Those who do not already have an annual parking permit must pay for daily parking, $6/day.
If you have questions or require assistance purchasing an accessible permit, please contact parking@tulane.edu.
