UPass for Tulane University

Tulane employees asked for more affordable commuting options, and we listened. The UPass Program is Tulane's way of investing in your commute: an affordable, flexible transit option that puts more money back in your pocket and supports a greener campus.

Program Overview

  • What it is: A discounted transit pass available through the RTA, giving you unlimited access to the bus, streetcar, and ferry for an entire semester.
  • Who's eligible: All active Tulane faculty, staff, and students.
  • Cost: $85 per semester.
  • How to get yours: Purchase your UPass directly through the Tulane UPass portal.

Note: The UPass covers the individual rider only on the bus, streetcar, or ferry. Individuals 65 and older may find it more cost effective to purchase a 31-Day Priority Jazzy Pass at $14/month.

Using the Le Pass App

The RTA Le Pass app is how you'll access your UPass. Free to download on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store, the app lets you purchase fare types, plan trips, and see real-time arrival information for all RTA bus, streetcar, and ferry routes.
