Biweekly Rates

To calculate the biweekly rate, find your monthly rate and multiply that amount by 12, then divide by 24. For example: An employee in annual salary band of [$52,500 to $84,699] “Employee Only” tier on the  HRA plan: $99.32 x 12 = $1,191.84/24 = $49.66 (estimated biweekly medical rate for this example).

Dental & Vision

Vision

Tulane offers employees vision insurance through EyeMed that includes coverage for eye exams and eyeglasses or contact lenses. Please see the plan summaries(TBA) detailing coverage information, limitations, and exclusions.

Supplemental Life Insurance

You can purchase Supplemental Life and AD&D (Accidental Death and Dismemberment) coverage for you and your family. Below are the monthly rates per $1,000 of coverage for employee and spouse Supplemental Life Insurance. These rates are based on your current age and are automatically adjusted for age band and salary increases each year.

To purchase supplemental life coverage for your spouse or child(ren), you must enroll yourself in coverage.  You pay 100% of the cost for this coverage. Please refer to the plan summaries(TBA) for the low-cost, age-related rates. You are not required to purchase Supplemental Life in order to purchase AD&D. You can enroll independently.

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs)

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) help you save money by allowing you to pay for certain types of health care and dependent care expenses on a pre-tax basis. Below are the maximum annual contributions that can be made into Healthcare FSA and the Dependent Care FSA for 2022.
