With summer approaching, it is a good time to remind everyone about bringing your child or dependent to work guidelines.

Tulane University values an atmosphere that fosters a work life balance between work and family responsibilities.  The University believes in an environment that is conducive to work, and in which health and safety concerns of employees, students, staff and children are respected and disruptions are minimized.  Our facilities and grounds may present a variety of potential hazards to individuals, and these are greater for children who often lack the hazard recognition abilities of an adult.  The goal of the University is to address the concerns of all parties when a child is in the workplace, minimize the risk of injury and promote a safe work environment.  Therefore, dependents are not permitted to attend work with their parents during the summer or other times of the year.  Parents and caregivers must make arrangements for dependent care outside of the work environment.

For child care information for the summer months, two summer camps sponsored by the University are being offered for students in grades 6-12 interested in learning more about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Detailed information can be found at https://summer.tulane.edu/pre-college.

Additionally, you may refer to a recent issue of Gambit Magazine, which published a list of summer camps in the Greater New Orleans area.
