Non-Exempt Staff Working During Emergency Closures

If you work during an emergency closure and are non-exempt staff, all you need to do is clock in and out of Kronos as normal.  Kronos timecards will populate with the pay code of Emergency Closure.  

Emergency Closure Pay Example

• Scheduled for 7.5 hours per day.
• Rate of pay is $10/hour.
• Worked 4 hours during an emergency closure.

Calculation

• 7.5 hours of emergency closure (7.5 hours x $10) = $75
• 4.0 hours worked (4.0 x $10 x 1.5) = $60
• Total Paid = $135

Please note that emergency closure pay only applies to non-exempt staff employees who are regular full-time or regular part-time with benefits.
