A Message from the VP of HR: Redesigned Hiring Process
Dear Colleagues,
We asked, you spoke, we listened! This November, the Office of Human Resources will implement a redesigned hiring process, which will feature enhanced recruitment services and improved system functionality. This is the result of a year-long project undertaken to review and reimagine the hiring process in support of our vision to attract and retain innovative, well-qualified and diverse employees. Improvements include:
- Enhanced recruitment services, including prescreening candidates for hiring manager review.
- New user interface including dashboards and simplified forms.
- Fewer approval steps in faculty and staff hiring workflows.
- New careers website with enhanced search capability.
- Automated job postings on higheredjobs.com and insidehighered.com.
- Improved candidate experience while reducing time to hire.
Want to learn more? We have training!
- We invite departments that are currently recruiting staff positions, or will have staff openings before winter break, to register for an upcoming staff recruitment training session.
- For those who will be hiring staff in 2019, regular training sessions will be available throughout 2019 and resources will be available online.
- If you hire faculty, librarians, or post docs, you will receive a separate announcement and invitation to a training session specifically for these positions in partnership with the Provost’s Office.
