Timekeeping Guidance - Hurricane Zeta

Supervisors and Timekeepers,

Please use the following pay guidelines for non-exempt employees during Hurricane Zeta starting Wednesday, October 28, at 8:00 AM.

Essential personnel required to work on site will be paid the premium.

  • Employees should clock in/out using Kronos. 
  • Timekeepers should email payroll@tulane.edu to provide the names and TUID of employees working.

Non-essential personnel able to work remotely will be paid at their regular rate.

  • Employees should clock in/out using Kronos.

Non-essential personnel unable to work remotely will be paid their regular rate for hours normally scheduled because they are not required to be on site and/or are unable to work remotely. 

  • Current remote workers are expected to work during the closure, to the extent possible.
  • If remote workers are unable to work due to the impact of the storm, they should report the issue to their supervisor.
  • Employees that are currently working on campus and are not able to work during the closure, should be paid their regular rate of pay.
  • Employees who cannot work remotely, due to the nature of their work, will be paid during the closure.
  • Timekeepers should email Payroll at payroll@tulane.edu with employee name and TUID of those unable to work remotely.
