The staff handbook provides general information about Tulane’s employment practices, including the benefits provided to staff and conduct expected from staff members.  This page reflects the latest updates to the staff handbook.

May 2026Vacation PolicyUpdated the language to include the following: Vacation leave begins accruing during the introductory period but is not considered “earned” and no vacation days may be taken until completion of six consecutive months of employment with the University. There is no payment for accrued unused vacation days at the end of employment if an employee is terminated before completing the six-month introductory period.
