Kronos Workforce Ready (WFR)

The Office of the Chief Operating Officer announced the upgrade of Tulane’s timekeeping system from an older, on-premise version of Kronos to their latest cloud application, Kronos Workforce Ready (WFR), which was approved for campus-wide roll-out. The WFR project was implemented in two phases. In the first and second phases, we delivered much-needed improvements as well as some exciting new features.

New and Improved Kronos Workforce Ready

  • Employees no longer need to complete paper time-correction forms. Instead, correction requests can easily be submitted for approval online or in the Kronos Mobile App.
  • Biweekly employees use the new system to log their time every day via the web, a time clock, or the Kronos mobile app.
  • All employees who report time use the new system to request and record vacation, sick, and other leave time each pay period.
  • Timekeepers use the new system to review, edit, and approve all employee time and attendance information.

Additional Information

Why is Tulane upgrading from Kronos Workforce Ready (WFR)

We are upgrading to WFR to:

  • Eliminate paper and manual processes, such as our paper time correction forms.
  • Drive consistent HR and payroll policies across the university.
  • Provide employees with accurate, real-time information about leave balances.
  • Further our commitment to paying all employees accurately for the work they perform.
  • Meet the university’s needs for quick access to up-to-date reports.
  • Provide departments with access to data that can help them track and manage labor expenses.

What will change in conjunction with the new system?

  • Employees will no longer need to complete paper time correction forms. Instead, correction requests can easily be submitted for approval online, or in the Kronos Mobile App.
  • Biweekly employees will use the new system to log their time every day via the web, a time clock, or the Kronos mobile app.
  • All employees who report time will use the new system to request and record vacation, sick, and other leave time during each pay period.
  • Timekeepers will use the new system to review, edit, and approve all employee time and attendance information.

Will the Kronos Time Correction form be eliminated?

Corrections to timesheets will now be done through new time clocks or digitally within WFR instead of submitting a separate form.  Please see the job aid for detailed instructions on how to submit.
