Redesigned Hiring Process

Project Overview

The Office of Human Resources will implement a restructured hiring process, which will feature enhanced recruitment services and improved system functionality. This is the result of a year-long project undertaken to review and reimagine the hiring process in support of our vision to attract and retain innovative, well-qualified and diverse employees. 

Project Goals

  • Create an increased culture of accountability related to HR processes.
  • Modify iRecruitment so that it supports a centralized, recruiter model for managing openings and prescreening applicants.
  • Minimize data entry and manual updates of vacancies and offers.
  • Drive efficiency through automation wherever possible.
  • Streamline and shorten the approval processes for vacancies and offers.
  • Develop a job posting site that is user-friendly, searchable and consistent with Tulane branding.

Hiring Process Improvements

  • Enhanced recruitment services to include candidates prescreened by recruiters.
  • New user interface including dashboards and simplified forms.
  • Fewer approval steps in faculty and staff hiring workflows.
  • New careers website with enhanced search capability.
  • Automated job postings on higheredjobs.com and insidehighered.com. 
  • Improved candidate experience while reducing time to hire.
