Bonus Payment FAQs

Who is eligible to receive this bonus? Tulane will provide a one-time payment of $750 to all full and part-time benefits-eligible employees with an annualized base salary of up to $100,000. 

When will I receive this bonus payment? This payment will appear on the June 24, 2022 payday for eligible biweekly employees or the June 30, 2022 payday for eligible monthly employees. The payment will be identified on pay stubs as “OTP FY 22 Special.” 

Will this bonus be subject to tax withholding? Yes.

Why aren’t all Tulane employees getting a bonus? We have limited the bonus to employees with an annualized base salary of less than $100,000 in order to support the largest number of staff and faculty who will benefit the most from it.

If I qualify for merit raise, based on my performance, will I still get my merit raise if I receive this bonus? Yes. This bonus is in addition to any merit raise.

Will this bonus be available next year? This is a one-time bonus. However, we will continue to monitor inflation and other factors that impact the financial well-being of our employees and may take additional steps to assist them in the future.

Are dining services and other contract employees eligible for this bonus? Tulane is encouraging the two major vendors who employee Tulane-based contract workers to provide a similar bonus to their workers.
