We recognize 2020 was a challenging year and measuring performance will be unique due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  Therefore, a reimagined and streamlined review process has been implemented to substantively assess employee performance in alignment with the goals and values of the institution with consideration of an extraordinary year. The annual staff performance review form is available HERE. The deadline for completing reviews is March 15, 2021.

As a part of a forward thinking talent management strategy, we continue to remain committed to re-engineering the performance management process that will support assessment of collaborative goals, and promote opportunities for ongoing dialogue between supervisors and employees.

This year’s process is a first step in that direction and has been based on your feedback from the 2019 learning needs assessment, professional development day participant feedback, and performance management best practices.  Thus, the new form focuses on four key universal competencies: Customer Focus, Innovation, Flexibility and Initiative.

As we continue to operate in a fast-paced and quickly changing environment, the new process will make it easier to facilitate conversations about performance, celebrate successes and nurture professional growth as we continue to re-engineer the future of performance management at Tulane.

You can find more helpful information in the performance management page to include the link to the form, job aids, frequently asked questions, and other resources.
