Why is it important to Know Your Numbers?

The American Heart Association recommends that you be aware of five key numbers: Total Cholesterol, HDL Cholesterol, Blood Pressure, Blood Sugar, and Body Mass Index (BMI). Knowing your numbers is important because these numbers provide a snapshot of your overall wellbeing.  Your numbers also allow you and your healthcare provider to determine your risks of developing certain health conditions such as heart disease or diabetes.  You can obtain these numbers through a biometric screening.

Tulane has partnered with Quest Diagnostics through United HealthCare to administer free biometric screenings on our various campuses to employees enrolled on our medical plans. Please visit my.questforhealth.com to schedule your biometric screening today or visit the Wellness & Benefits Fair page to find more information!

If you have not yet completed the preventative care visit action to receive the HRA Incentive for 2019, obtaining a biometric screening will count as one of the three required actions.  The deadline to complete all three actions is October 31, 2018.
