Tulane will soon begin a dependent eligibility audit for its medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans. This audit helps ensure that only eligible dependents are enrolled, in compliance with plan rules and regulatory requirements.
We are partnering with Verifi1 — an independent, highly regarded eligibility verification firm based in Southfield, Michigan to conduct the audit.
What to Expect:
All employees who have one or more dependents enrolled in Tulane’s medical, dental, vision, or life insurance plans will be required to participate in the verification process. The process includes:
- Notification & Timeline: You will receive detailed instructions from NoReply@Verifi1.com and a mailed letter on July 14, 2025, outlining the verification process, required documentation, and key deadlines. Verification will run from July 21 through September 5, 2025. During this period, employees may confidentially remove any ineligible dependents from their coverage. All ineligible dependents must be removed no later than September 30, 2025.
- Reminders: As the September 5 deadline approaches, reminder notices will be sent to those who have not yet submitted documentation.
- Results & Appeals: After the verification period ends, you will receive your results. If you believe an error was made, you will have the opportunity to file an appeal.
Throughout the process, you’ll be able to track your status and access all communications through Verifi1’s secure online portal. Their support team and 24/7 interactive voice response system will be available to assist with questions and documentation needs.
We appreciate your cooperation in this important initiative, which helps maintain the integrity and affordability of Tulane’s benefit programs for all members and their families.
