Compensation & Hiring Process Updates, Tools and Resources
The goal of our compensation philosophy and redesigned hiring process is to attract and retain top talent, as well as to implement policies and programs to keep current employees engaged. To achieve this, we are continuously looking for ways to improve communications around pay to prospective and current employees in a way that is transparent, easily accessed and understood. Your feedback has been vital to helping us identify areas of improvement.
With this said, we are pleased to provide managers with updates, tools and resources to facilitate better communications with prospective and current employees:
- Pay administration guidelines are now available on the HR website.
- Notification emails will be sent when a vacancy is approved containing best practices to conduct phone screens and have pay conversations with candidates.
- Manager talking points have been developed to support engaging in conversations about pay with current staff.
- The Tulane Jobs website has been updated to include references to our compensation philosophy.
- Job postings will be updated to replace the minimum and maximum of salary ranges with the pay grade and include links to Life at Tulane, Benefits & Pay, and Candidate Resources.
