Agenda and Registration 2020

Professional Development Days are coming!  Last year, over 700 Tulane employees participated in a very successful inaugural in-person Professional Development Day (PDD) event.  For 2020, we are going even bigger and all virtual!  We encourage all Tulane employees to participate in networking, career development and growth during this year’s event. A snapshot of the event is provided for you below:


What will PDD be like this year?

  • PDD will be a TWO day event on October 1 & 2, from 9am - 3pm on both days with seven tracks to follow.
  • All sessions are free and open to all Tulane staff and faculty members.
  • Attendees may choose any session. Register as an attendee to mix and match across tracks - you are in the driver's seat with our new Whova app!  
  • All sessions will be delivered by Zoom.
  • There will be a Virtual Resource Fair on both days.
  • NEW: Session registration will be managed in our Virtual Platform, Whova.

What's on the Agenda?

  • Over 40 concurrent sessions and 7 key tracks to choose from.
  • Keynote sessions: Panel discussion with our Senior Leaders and our Chief Diversity Officer.

How do you register for PDD? Registration is a two-step process.

Step 1: Register as an attendee. Select "1" from the drop-down menu. Select register. *Please use your email address to register. Click submit.

You should receive a confirmation email from Whova if you have successfully completed your registration.

Step 2: Create an account in Whova. The event will be accessed through an online platform, Whova. You have two choices for using Whova. You can download the mobile app or access the website to attend. Which one should you choose? Our recommendation is to use both! Both options allow you to create and manage your session agenda. The app has extra social features that make it easy to interact with other attendees.

  • Via the Whova Website on your computer
    • Visit
    • Click the option: "Don't have an account? Sign up here"
    • Enter the email you used to register ( and create a password. (We recommend using your Tulane password so it's easy to remember.)
    • Click the "Sign Up" button
  • Via your smartphone or tablet on the Whova Mobile App
    • Download the app: or search "Whova" in your phone's app store.
    • Open the app and select the "Sign Up / Sign In button"
    • Enter the email address ( you registered with and click "Continue"
    • Create a password (We recommend using your Tulane password so its easy to remember) and click "Continue"
