Honoring Milestone Anniversaries & President’s Awards for Excellence
Dear Tulane Community,
As announced by President Fitts, the university will continue its tradition of honoring staff employees who have reached milestone anniversaries with the university. In further recognition of the resilience, flexibility, and commitment of our community over the past year, President Fitts has also announced an additional 10 individuals and 2 teams as recipients of the President’s Awards for Excellence.
Together, these employees have achieved great things not only over the past year as we have managed through a global pandemic, but in the decades during which they have worked here, and together, will continue to achieve the strategic initiatives in support of the mission of the university for years to come.
Historically, the university has celebrated with an in-person and unified luncheon to recognize the individuals reaching anniversaries in increments of 5 years and other Tulane employees who have made significant contributions to the university.
In 2020, the event was postponed due to COVID-19 social distancing protocols, which have largely remained in place for this year. To this end, the nearly 700 staff employees who reached milestone anniversaries in 2019 and 2020 are being honored virtually. In addition to mailing recognition gifts to employee home addresses, the Office of Human Resources & Institutional Equity have designated the month of June to honor and celebrate these employees by highlighting the service of one or more milestone recipients each week, to be shared with the Tulane community.
Please join us in extending your gratitude and warmest congratulations in celebration of the outstanding staff whose work contributes to the success of Tulane’s students, faculty, alumni, and colleagues at the university.
