2018 Wave of Green Day of Service

On Thursday, March 29, 2018, we hope you will join us for the eighth annual Wave of Green Day of Service. Through partnerships with local non-profit agencies, we have an opportunity for faculty and staff to take one day to give back to the city in our back yard. Whether sorting Mardi Gras beads at Arc of Greater New Orleans, cleaning up City Park, sorting food at Second Harvest Food Bank, working with local schools or supporting another one of our incredible community partners like Northlake Nature Center, there are countless ways you can participate.

If the last seven years are any indication, all our volunteers and service recipients alike will experience first-hand just how service binds us to each other in incomparable ways, and binds us to our community. This is one of the many ways we show the world our Tulane values.

The day begins at Turchin Stadium on the uptown campus, where buses will fan out to the different volunteer sites. We will provide round-trip transportation from campus to each site, snacks and beverages at the various locations, and a closing lunch at Turchin Stadium for all participants.

You can register to participate at https://tulane.edu/wave-green-day-service any time between now and March 9.

For more information about Primate Center events, please contact Stacey Schwankhart at sschwank@tulane.edu.

We invite you to get involved with our great tradition of service by signing up today for March 29, 2018!
