Karen D'Arcy

Karen D’Arcy joined the HR team in 2011 and has over 25 years of human resources experience, including implementing HRIS applications, continuous quality improvements, talent management, employee relations, and training and development. Since joining Tulane in 2011, she has led strategic learning initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. Previously, she served as Director of Human Resources at Tulane Medical Center.

Karen holds a Bachelor of Arts from University College Dublin and is a Certified Project Manager (MPM). Passionate about talent development, employee engagement, and fostering opportunities for all, she is dedicated to supporting Tulane employees in their professional growth.

A recipient of the 2014 Tulane University President’s Staff Excellence Award, Karen has also shared her expertise as a speaker at the 2022 CUPA-HR Spring Conference. She is an active member of the Women’s Professional Council of New Orleans and a dedicated supporter of Angel’s Place New Orleans.

When not working, Karen enjoys traveling to her native Ireland, cycling, and dining. She is also a proud mother to two college-age kids.
