Nelle Noble is the Resolution & Restorative Engagement Manager in the Equal Opportunity & Resolution Management department of the Office of Human Resources. A double Tulane alum with a J.D. and a Master of Social Work, Nelle has over ten years of experience working in the fields of domestic violence and sexual assault policy, victim advocacy, program management, crisis response, and grants and contracts administration. Nelle is both a licensed attorney and a licensed clinical social worker (board approved clinical supervisor) in the state of Louisiana.

Wendy

Wendy Firven Smith

Wendy Firven Smith is a Resolution Specialist in the Resolution & Restorative Engagement program. With over 8 years in higher education, including roles as an Adjunct Instructor and Career Counselor, Wendy holds a master’s in Community Counseling from Minnesota State University and a bachelor’s in Psychology from Southern University at New Orleans.

She is a State Certified Mediator with extensive experience, including mediating civilian/police complaints, training NOPD supervisors, and founding Resolve Mediation Group. Wendy is passionate about expanding restorative practices and looks forward to helping Tulane employees enhance communication, build relationships, and resolve conflicts.

Matt Wegmann

Dr. Matt Wegmann joined Tulane in June 2023 as a Resolution Specialist. He holds a Ph.D. in Counselor Education from the University of New Orleans, an M.S. in Counseling from Loyola University New Orleans, and a B.S. in Psychology from Spring Hill College. Previously a school counselor at Holy Cross School in New Orleans, Matt now focuses on helping the Tulane community navigate conflicts and build effective resolution skills. His office is located on the Uptown campus.
