Biography

Maria joined the HR team in 2012. As Executive Assistant and Assistant Director of HR Operations, she manages the department's administrative operations and collaborates closely with the HR leadership team to support the success of key initiatives. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences and an Associate's degree in Human Resource Development from Tulane University. In 2018, Maria received the Spirit of Tulane Award, bestowed to exemplary faculty and staff who exhibit qualities that exemplify the mission of Tulane.

Maria is a member of the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR) and a Certified Professional through the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).

Outside of work, Maria serves in leadership roles for several philanthropic organizations, enjoys spending time outdoors, and plays competitive volleyball.
