Tulane Living Well: Diabetes Prevention Program

In addition to offering urgent care and wellness visits, the Tulane Living Well Clinic offers a Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP).

The Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) showed that people at high risk for type 2 diabetes can prevent or delay the development of the disease by losing a modest amount of weight through lifestyle changes, including changes in diet and exercise. Participating in the DPP has been shown to decrease insulin resistance and prevent progression to diabetes.

For more information and details on the Diabetes Prevention Program, check out the brochure.
