Convenient Onboarding for New Faculty and Student Employees
The Office of Human Resources is pleased to announce an enhanced onboarding process for new faculty and student employees.
The last step of the hiring process is the presentation of I-9 form documents in person to an authorized I-9 user, which is a federal requirement. Beginning August 1, I-9 verifications will be available throughout campus with the expansion of Tulane I-9 Authorized Users. This effort will make it easier and more convenient for new faculty and student employees to complete the hiring process.
- The locations of authorized users on campus are now available on our website, and are linked to onboarding resources & communications for new faculty and student employees.
- Faculty and student employee new hires may schedule an appointment that is most convenient for them according to location, date, and time with an authorized user.
Additionally, to facilitate I-9 completions, the Talent Acquisition team will:
- Schedule appointments at various HR locations uptown and downtown to ensure full coverage throughout the year.
- Host “I-9 days” on the Uptown and Downtown campuses during peak hiring seasons.
- Be onsite at the Reily Student Recreation Center ground-floor classroom every Friday for all I-9s. Students and faculty are welcome to schedule an appointment at this site on Fridays.
- Continue to monitor pending I-9s to ensure compliant completions.
Note: Staff new hires will continue to complete their I-9s at new employee orientations held every Friday at the Reily Student Recreation Center.
