Biography
Prior to joining Tulane, Denise Cordova held the position, Director of Compensation at a large NY metropolitan Catholic university. She has more than 25+ years of strategic and operational HR experience, with 16+ years in compensation leadership roles. During her career, Denise has successfully led compensation studies, FLSA conversions, annual merit cycles, executive compensation annual reviews, salary structure designs, retention programs and performance-based pay incentives. She is described by former colleagues as a dedicated, well rounded, and progressive thinking HR partner.
Denise has a love for knowledge which makes her feel right at home within Tulane. She received a double-major bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Political Science from Clark University, Worcester MA. She holds a MS in Human Resources Administration from Central Michigan University and a MA in Transpersonal (wholistic) Psychology from Sofia University. Denise’s heuristic research interest is to understand the individual’s experience of “being authentic” in the workplace.
