Professional Development Day 2019

Event Details

All staff and faculty are invited to get involved in the day, which will be held Thursday, September 26 from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm in the Lavin-Bernick Center (LBC).  

The day will be composed of four main aspects:

  • 25 breakout workshops to develop your skills and knowledge.
  • The Innovation Jam.
  • A Resource fair. 
  • Lunch and Keynote Speaker.

Employees may drop in for a session or enjoy the full agenda.

Origins of Professional Development Day

The groundwork for a daylong event was laid in June 2019 as a result of the Learning Needs Assessment. The Human Resources Learning and Organizational Development team began brainstorming ways to promote professional development opportunities and awareness of tools available to support growth. Leveraging best practices and peer research, the team started developing a program that would be uniquely Tulane.
